Aptana is an IDE: an Integrated Developer Environment - in other words, an interface for managing your projects.
Many programmers wonder which is the best IDE to choose and they could do a lot worse than try Aptana (which also works as an Eclipse plug-in for Java programmers).
It has a nice blank page without much clutter — a bit of code colouring and some line numbers and that's about it.
According to one satisifed developer: "Aptana is written in Java so it’s available across the board for PC, Mac, and Linux. It’s still in Beta right now but it already has very good documentation. I think it’s worth checking out."
